New simplified flow for Graph connectors for Microsoft Search

Microsoft Graph connectors have introduced a simplified setup process to configure the Enterprise Websites connector. Admins can now try out Graph connectors much more easily using this simplified flow. Some improvements made to the setup process include –

    • Single step process to set up connector for Microsoft Search
    • Automatic creation of search vertical
    • Availability of sample dataset for trial (as pre-filled website URL)
    • Easily switch to advanced connector features if needed

When this will happen:

The simplified connection flow is available in the Targeted release ring. It is available for the Enterprise Websites connector only.

How this will affect your organization:

Admins can now easily try out Graph connectors for their organization. There is no impact on any existing connector configured.

About Graph connectors: Microsoft Graph connectors enable your organization to index third-party data so that it appears in Microsoft Search results. The third-party data can be hosted on-premises or in the public or private clouds. Some examples include ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, File share, Jira, Confluence etc.
