Within the desktop app in-meeting experience, organizers can choose to lock their meetings to prevent subsequent unwanted join attempts.

This new audience targeting release will allow the ability to target specific audiences per event within the SharePoint Events Web Part. This can help users target specific events to different audiences, helping them provide more personalized experiences on SharePoint pages.

Call Merge gives end users the capability to merge their active unheld 1:1 call into another 1:1 call or another group call. This applies to Teams VOIP calls and PSTN calls.

Updated April 21, 2021: Viva Connection global navigation configuration has a dependency on the SharePoint App Bar feature (MC240066). Based on learnings from our early rings, App Bar rollout timelines have been adjusted. This will also impact the ability to fully configure Viva Connection. The Microsoft Lists iOS app is now configurable as a first party app in the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center. This allows app to be targeted to ensure that the data accessed is protected by app protection policies. The app now also supports conditional access deployment through Azure admin portal.

Now in public preview: Microsoft is introducing Operator Connect, in addition to Calling Plans and Direct Routing, as a third option for integrating calling capabilities in Teams. This public preview enables Teams administrators to select the operator of their choice and enable them for number provisioning in their tenant.

We are pleased to announce the next phase of the new Yammer experience. In September 2020 (MC222345), we released an opt-in toggle for new Yammer for all users.

With this update, end users can create an out of office message from within Microsoft Teams desktop or Microsoft Teams on the web. This out of office message will sync with the user’s Outlook calendar, presence, and contact card information.

This new Microsoft Teams release will make it easy to tell which folders within your SharePoint library have a Teams channel associated with them. Additionally, you’ll be able to see this right from within the SharePoint user interface. This new feature will roll out to Teams desktop and web.
