06 Jan Microsoft Viva: Enabling Delay Delivery Plan in Outlook to Microsoft Viva Insights licensed users (preview)
To empower people with personal insights and recommendations in the flow of work that help build better work habits, we are expanding Delay Delivery plan in Outlook to Microsoft Viva Insights licensed users (preview). The Delay Delivery plan is currently available only to people who are using Microsoft Viva Insights (MyAnalytics) and are enrolled in the MyAnalytics (Full) service plan.
Microsoft Viva Insights will show you suggestions for scheduling email deliveries that align with the recipients’ working hours in their respective time zones. The delay helps minimize disruptions to recipients outside their working hours.
this message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 82194.
When this will happen:
Public preview: We will begin rolling this out in early February and expect to complete rollout mid-February.
Standard: We will begin rolling this out in mid-February and expect to complete rollout late February.
How this will affect your organization:
Inline suggestions in Microsoft Outlook are brief data and AI-driven notifications that appear in Outlook while you are either reading or composing an email or a meeting invitation. As an administrator, you benefit from knowing what Microsoft Viva Insights provides to its participants and what you can do to enable and enhance their experience.
The Delay Delivery plan will roll out default off. Users can opt in to the Delay Delivery plan through the MyAnalytics dashboard or through the Viva Insights Outlook add-in. It can be disabled by either the admin or the end user. See Configure personal insights for details.
What you need to do to prepare:
Review and assess the impact for your organization. You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
The Viva Insights Outlook add-in – which offers actionable suggestions to help you stay on top of tasks and emails, strengthen your work relationships, plan time away from work, and achieve a better balance – will be retitled “Viva Insights” to complement the Viva Insights app in Microsoft Teams.
